Grassroots activists from PBI Kenya's partner Mathare social justice centre participated in a public forum held in Mathare on the occasion of the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances. Extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances are a daily reality in the informal settlements of Nairobi and in Kenya as a whole. These practices affect not just the victims, but their families, friends, their entire community. MSJC, together with Peace Brigades International - Kenya Project and our colleagues from the Kenya National Coalition of Human Rights and Nchrd Kenya, gave voice to the victims. PBI also wants to thank Amnesty International Kenya for organizing a debate between stakeholders at Strathmore University Law School on the subject.
