On April 8, PBI-Honduras tweeted: “PBI accompanies @arcoirisghn [LGBT Rainbow Association of Honduras] during Miss Earth 2022, a contest to empower LGTBI+ people where trans women can proudly express their identity, in addition to their talent. At PBI we value the importance of diversity and the fight for equity.”
In December 2019, PBI-Honduras also attended the Miss Arcoiris event. At that time, they commented: “They showed that, despite the violence they are going through, the LGBT group in Honduras faces the defense of the human rights in a positive way.”

And on the International Transgender Day of Visibility last month, PBI-Honduras also tweeted: “PBI accompanies @somoscdc_hn [the Centre for LGTBI Development and Cooperation] and other organizations of sexual diversity in a call to the State to approve the Gender Identity Law and the reform of the @RnpHonduras [National Register of Persons] Law. It is essential to ensure recognition and participation.”
The Peace Brigades International-Honduras Project has accompanied Arcoiris since July 2015 and Somos-CDC since January 2022.
